Recently Due to COVID-19, I started to stop making irrational purchases like I did last year. However, due to the influence of COVID-19, some major skincare (cosmetics) companies have launched various attractive discounts and promotions. This can easily make the money we just saved be spent out again. So I'm going to introduce some of the High-End skincare products I've been using recently. And talk about whether it's worth buying these products when they're on sale.
Caudalie: Vinosource Intense Moisture Rescue Cream $48(40ml)On the Sephora website, the introduction of this product is for people with dry, cracked, uncomfortable skin. I bought this cream in early 2020. In the process of using it, I feel that this cream is more suitable for use in winter. If I use it in summer, I feel a bit heavy. So if you don't have very dry skin, you don't need to consider buying this product. Although the product says it is suitable for oily skin, I think this product is aimed at specific skin types. The oily skin will feel a bit heavy even in winter. It is worth mentioning that the product smells good.
Kiehl’s: Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution $68 (30ml), $95 (50ml)
The product is currently on sale on Sephora and its main feature is to brighten skin and reduce dark spots. I've used two bottles so far. But I may not continue to buy this product. When I used the first bottle, I thought the process of using this product was very comfortable and the scent was very fresh. The product's main feature of reducing dark spots and brightening is actually not obvious. I have used Olay Radiance Light-Perfecting Essence 30ml, the price is one-half of Kiehl’s. But the effect of Olay is much more obvious than Kiehl’s.
SK-II: Facial Treatment Essence $129(75ml)
I actually thought about it for a long time when I bought this product. Compared to other toners on the market, its price is indeed more expensive. If it does not work as well as advertised consumers may be disappointed. After buying and using it for half a year, I think this product has some effect. It does give me a certain level of skin improvement. For example, I feel that my skin texture is indeed gradually becoming visibly soften. There is currently a little bit effect on the improvement of skin tone. But relative to its price, I would like to say that if you have a sufficient budget, you can consider buying it if is on sale.
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask $26 (20g)
The price of this product can buy two lip balm in drug store. As Canada’s winter can make people’s lip feel really dry, the usual lip balm can only temporarily relieve dry lips. After using this product, I found it was worth the money. First of all, it has a lot more capacity than a lip balm, and I haven't finish used it for about two years. Secondly, whether I'm wearing lipstick day or overnight, I feel my lips are really moisturizing. It is a product worth considering during on sale or even at the regular price.
Estée Lauder: Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream $85 (15ml)
After using this product for half a year, I decided not to buy it again. In recent years, many bloggers have discussed a lot about whether eye cream can produce visibly benefit to the under-eye area. I agree with the statement that eye cream may only serve as a moisturizer. This eye cream did not lighten my dark circles. The term "helps repair the visible impact of UV and pollution" mentioned in the product details is actually very abstract.
